Advisory Board
Tim and Brenda Petru are parents of 8 great kids. When they got married, those children were ages 5-15, Tim and Brenda each bringing 4 children to the family. In year 3, they came up for air and looked at each other amid the chaos. "I think we can do this," they agreed and continued to press forward. With many challenges (and a lot of baggage) it was a very difficult journey. In year 7, Brenda met Becky Rogers and learned about LifeStory Transformation. Things began to change immediately as she applied the principles she learned to their life and their marriage. By year 10, things were really smoothing out and getting fun. Money was abundant, kids were happy and growing, they were thinking about moving to a bigger home, and they even won a fitness challenge. That was the year that Brenda's sister was in crisis, so they took her and her 4 young children into their home. For 4.5 years they helped her to raise her children in their home as well (Cheaper by the Dozen, Anyone?) Now that everyone has grown up and her sister and kiddos have moved out, the couple adopted a 3-day old kitten and bottle-fed him around the clock to save his tiny life. They have continued with the menagerie, adding another kitten, and now 10 chicks to keep them busy since the kids are gone. They are grandparents to one adorable granddaughter so far and have created a gathering place with their dream home where they invite families to come and share a meal and feel the love and peace in their home.
Brenda is a mom with a hustle. She has done many side gigs and jobs and teaches young people how to create businesses and become entrepreneurs. She has a very successful essential oil business where she leads a team of leaders, guiding them into business success as well. Brenda's passion is taking women who believe they might have what it takes and helping them to get on the path of LifeStory Transformation to change their lives by changing what they think.
Both Tim and Brenda are so excited to be invited to be a part of the Board for the Family Restoration Center, because of the many miracles that have occurred for it. "We want to add our faith to this project, and continue to strengthen and bless families and children on both sides of the globe."

Claude Richards, J.D., brings varied experience in the fields of family history, law, local government, music, aviation and home repair and remodeling to Families Mentoring Families. Two trips to Ghana have given him an appreciation for her people and culture, as well as a desire to help the work of FMF to prosper for the benefit of the people there.
Cynthia Richards is a professional musician. She graduated in Violin Performance from Brigham Young University, having also studied European conservatory methods. She has maintained a successful teaching studio for over fifty-five years, and has taught violin and string pedagogy at BYU and Utah Valley University. Cynthia has developed her own curriculum for teaching stringed instruments. For her, engaging students in musical discoveries is a source of continued creativity and reward. She and her husband, Claude Richards, raised eight children in a home where music study was part of family life. Her experiences in the practice room led her to write the book “How to Get Your Child to Practice Without Resorting to Violence.”
